Our Values
-
All children are unique!
We embrace all children and celebrate their individuality. We allow children to be themselves and are always working to find ways to support their specific needs.
-
Learning should be fun!
We believe that children learn the most when they are having fun! And we know they have the most fun when everyone is joining in on the way they like to play! We are not afraid to get down on the floor, be silly, sing and run around to ensure that your child is engaged and having a fun, positive experience.
-
All communication is celebrated!
We recognize each child's distinctive communication strengths and preferences. We understand the challenges to accessing communication and celebrate the wins, big and small!
-
Positive relationships foster communication!
We strive to create a therapeutic environment in which children know they are seen and loved for who they are. We follow their lead, embrace their special interests, validate their feelings and provide gentle and compassionate guidance to help them learn.
-
Family involvement is key to success!
We recognize the importance of the bond between children and their caregivers and family members. We encourage active involvement of family in therapy sessions, we actively listen to family concerns and we strive to educate families on how to best support their little one.
-
Language is one part of the whole child!
We understand that language and communication are only one aspect of the child as a whole. Dysregulation, limited motor skills and sensory differences are just a few aspects that may be impeding your child's access to communication. We work with you to find resources and other therapeutic supports that support your child as a whole in order for optimal engagement and communication development.
